God has frequently used Moody Radio to help me start my day off with the right focus. There have been mornings where I have been upset or frustrated with life, and Cleveland's morning radio team throws a verse or some other kind of Godly wisdom my way that helps me to feel better, reminding me of His grace. Programs like Turning Point have stimulated my quest to know God better. I thank God for Moody Radio because our world is desperately in need of Jesus and His teachings. This ministry helps people to be fed in the Word.
What I would like to share, specifically, is a couple of stories about our children. Christmas 2008, our children (we have six) heard about giving ducks to families. Our children, specifically the three oldest, put their money together, all on their own idea, and came up with enough to buy ducks for one family. During Share 2009, the four oldest children were listening and anticipating each and every morning what the Lord had done. As we were all listening one morning, the children scampered off and came back with $30 to give to share 2009. All this, once again, on their own. Moody Radio has given our children opportunities to give and my husband and I are so blessed to see the love of Jesus, in many ways, but in these two situations, in the way of giving, flow from their precious hearts. We just want you all to know, the little ones out there are giving of themselves also, for the sake of Christ and furthering His Kingdom. May you be as blessed as we are.
I have not always listened to Moody Radio, but rather listened to a Christian Radio Network based in my home town of Bath, N.Y. Every year my parents gave to them and they really impacted my life. I love the biblical programs that Moody plays and I want my kids to have the same experience with Moody that I did with the station that I grew up with. My wife loves the station and listens to it every day that she works and it helps her start her day right. We love your station.
Like many others, I have also been listening since you came on the air. WGNR is always on in my car, and it is such a blessing when I walk into my daughter's door to care for her children and get them off to school, to hear WGNR on in her house too! My grandchildren are hearing the truth of God's Word, even if they aren't consciously listening! If I have the radio on at home, it is tuned to WGNR also. I am on disability, and my budget is very tight, but I feel that God wants me to give $10 a month to help with your budget. If enough "little people" give a little, together we can get the job done!
I listen to Moody Radio every morning on my one hour commute to work, I try to have daily quite time with the Lord but as a nurse I often get called to work earlier than expected and my quite time has to wait until the end of the day. Without God guiding my hand in my job duties, I could not do them effectively. The morning team and the daily teaching on Moody Radio help me seek God and start my day off on the right path. Thank you for being there for me. It means a lot to me to feel God and be in his presence even when the unexpected happen.
I have been listening to WGNR for 10 plus years. You have been there when my heart was broken due to a bad relationship. And you where there when I was going through a healing process. You were there when my children and I were homeless. We have a home now. You were there when I lost my job, but now I have an awesome job. I thank God for the station, because when those times of giving up came across. There was always God's words coming through. No it wasn't easy, but know that you got my back and you didn't know it. It is true without a vision people will perish. Thank God for the vision.
I have been listening to Moody Radio since I moved to Indy six years ago. Last year I called for the first time to give $10 a month and will continue this year (and every year to come although I hope to be able to raise the amount). I'd like to share a few things about how Moody impacts my life. This past year I became a single mom of a three-year-old and a newborn. At such a difficult time in my life, Moody was where I turned to for Godly wisdom, encouragement and to share my daily drive to or from school or work. I was having a very hard time connecting in church, just going and leaving quickly, but Moody filled in the rest for me. The programs I most appreciate are Chris Fabry Live!, Prime Time America, and I listen dutifully to Home Word Bound. Parenting is the most important job God has given me whatever the circumstances and Moody has been there to support me and help me become a better mother. Thank you so much for your dedication and being my daily companion and mentor.
I am going through a divorce and things have been tough. One night, I was driving and listening to Moody Radio, wondering how the divorce experience would change me, wondering if it's what God really wanted for me. I began thinking that everything would be OK, that God just wanted me to be remade, sort of like a new version of a computer program, new and improved. Within minutes of that thought, an inspirational program began on Moody Radio. It was all about how God made us into a new version, using that very exact language I had been thinking about - a new version of a computer program. The timing was so close that it could not have been a coincidence. It was so reassuring to me. I felt like I was making the right decisions and that God supported me and wanted me to become a new person. Surely God talks through your station!
