What is Share?
Share is Moody Radio’s annual four-day campaign designed to raise the funds necessary to continue ministering to listeners like you throughout the year. Unlike most radio stations, all of Moody Radio’s owned and operated stations are non-profit and noncommercial. We rely on listeners to partner with us so that we can continue producing and delivering programming filled with solid biblical insight to help thousands of people take the next step in their relationships with Christ.
How will my Share gift be used?
Your Share gift, combined with gifts from Moody Radio’s giving clubs, support the overall ministry of Moody Radio, including your local station, as well as national programming like Midday Connection, In the Market with Janet Parshall and Chris Fabry Live! Every Share gift will help Moody Radio continue to fill the airwaves with the truth of God’s Word.
How did you arrive at the Share goal?
Each of Moody Radio’s 35 owned and operated stations has a unique Share goal based upon projected expenses and expected revenue for 2010. In addition to local expenses, each station’s Share goal also supports a percentage of Moody Radio’s national expenses related to programming and operations benefiting local stations.
Is Moody a member of the ECFA?
Moody is a charter member of the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability (ECFA). The ECFA is an accreditation agency dedicated to helping Christian ministries earn the public’s trust. Founded in 1979, ECFA provides accreditation to leading Christian nonprofit organizations that faithfully demonstrate compliance with established standards for financial accountability, fund-raising and board governance. Members include Christian ministries, denominations, churches, educational institutions and other tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organizations.
Where and how can I give to Moody Radio throughout the year?
Moody Radio welcomes your financial support all year long—not just during Share. Throughout the year, you can give to Moody Radio by visiting your local station’s website, by mailing a gift to Moody Radio, or by calling Moody Radio at (800) DL MOODY or (800) 356-6639.
Can I set up a recurring gift to Moody Radio?
Moody Radio offers a convenient way for listeners to give monthly recurring gifts by credit card or checking account. You can sign up to make a recurring gift by visiting the Share giving page. Many of our partners find this to be an easy way to fulfill their Share commitments throughout the year. Your recurring gifts will continue until you request that Moody suspend your giving. You can change the amount or cancel your recurring gifts at any time by calling us at (800) DL-MOODY.
What is unique about Moody Radio’s programming during Share?
During the four-day Share event, our normal radio programs are replaced with a live campaign, giving listeners like you the opportunity to call in and partner with Moody Radio. You will hear exciting stories from listeners whose lives have been transformed—a marriage saved, a renewed desire to serve God, a commitment to follow Jesus Christ—all because God is at work through Moody Radio!
What doesn’t change during Share?
While Moody Radio’s regular program schedule changes during Share, you will continue to hear the local staff you know and love, as they minister to listeners with God’s Word throughout the day. As always, during Share you can expect to be encouraged in your walk with Christ through the stories, music, and Scripture you hear on Moody Radio.
Why does my gift to Moody Radio matter?
Moody Radio relies on the faithful support of listeners like you to provide for our operating expenses, and we firmly believe that every gift is vitally important to helping us reach our Share goal. Your gift will allow Moody Radio to continue broadcasting your favorite programs, but more importantly, your gift will help Moody Radio continue to make an eternal difference in the lives of thousands of listeners across the country and around the world.
I can’t afford to give this year. Can I still participate in Share?
We understand that not everyone is able to participate in Share financially, but we welcome everyone to join us in praying for this year’s Share event. To guide your prayer time, you will find a helpful list of prayer requests for Share 2010 posted on our website. Additionally, you can support Moody Radio by spreading the word about Share to your family and friends throughout the event.
How can I give a Share gift?
We offer three convenient ways for you to give your Share gift: Web, phone or mail. Our secure online giving page makes it easy and safe for you to give via your checking account or credit card. You can also call your local station during Share to give a donation or make a commitment to fulfill at a later time. If you prefer to mail your Share gift, you can send it to 820 N. LaSalle Boulevard, Chicago, IL. Checks can be made payable to Moody Radio.
How can I have my employer match my Share gift?
Some companies match the contributions their employees make to qualified non-profit organizations like Moody Radio. Your company's plan may match your contributions dollar for dollar, but matching amounts vary by company. Some companies even double or triple their employees’ contributions. Check with your Human Resources representative to find out if your company matches contributions and to discuss the type of organizations they support.
